Cut the Glare, Keep the View

West-facing windows in Northern Colorado take a beating every summer afternoon. Solar screens and interior shades filter that sun before it heats your rooms, washes out your TV or fades your floors.

You still get natural light and your view of the foothills. Peterson Canvas & Awning is a proud dealer of Eclipse Shading Systems, assembled in the USA, and our team measures, delivers and installs every screen and shade for homes and businesses from Fort Collins and Windsor to Boulder, Broomfield and Cheyenne.

Exterior Solar Screens

  • Stop heat before it reaches the glass, which works far better than an inside blind.
  • Block up to 98% of UV to protect floors, furniture and artwork.
  • Reduce glare on TVs, computer screens and workstations.
  • Motorized by Somfy so screens lower and raise at the touch of a button. Great for porches and patios too.

Solar Screen FAQs

Will I still be able to see outside?

Yes. Solar screen fabric is designed to cut heat and glare while keeping your view. Fabric openness affects how much you see, and we’ll show you samples.

Exterior screens or interior shades?

Exterior screens stop heat before it reaches the glass, so they’re best for cooling. Interior shades are great for privacy, glare and blackout. Many homes use both.
